The ARC crew, Luka, Andrea and Christian have been onboard since Palma de Majorca. We have been preparing our ARC crossing together. Life onboard and sailing has been going well. We will make a good team for the ARC going to Sainte-Lucia.
On our way to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria for the rally start (and preparation), we stopped in Lanzarote where we visited the Cesar Manrique Foundation. Cesar Manrique is a Lanzarote artist who traveled the world and met many of the great artists of the world at the beginning of the last century from New York through Europe. He finally settled in Lanzarote where he created his home and work environment in the volcano lava bubbles. Lava bubbles are created when lava cools down and creates pockets of gas. Manrique dug a series of passage ways between these bubbles to create living spaces making up his home. Not only is Manrique an enlightening artist but he is also a early environmentalist trying to save "his" island from the crazy development of the island. The foundation is the incarnation of Manrique's state of mind.

Lovely ✌😍
